Danielle & Jonn's wedding @ Glenskirlie Castle
A week ago today I was sharing in Danielle & Jonn's special day at Glenskirlie castle. Not only was it a great day, it was also a fantastically planned out celebration of their love for each other. Read on to find out more.
My day began by meeting Danielle and her lovely Bridesmaids Kate, Heather and Nicola and photographing the girls getting their hair and make up done. The make up artist was the very talented and lovely Rachael Hunter Make Up. I couldn't help but chuckle when I overheard the wee flower girls talking about their preferred styles, Ellie wanted to look like a Princess and Maisy wanted to look like Batman!
Weather wise, despite just having had a glorious week of sunshine the day was very overcast, a bit blustery and decidedly wet - although this would change right on Q! The girls had opted to finish their preparations at the castle and Danielle had provided matching onesies of Pink Flamingo's for the girls and a Cheshire cat for herself, Danielle is a fan of Alice and Wonderland and so it seemed perfect that she was marrying Jonn in a fairy-tale style castle which provided the perfect setting for three pink flamingo's and a Cheshire cat to check in! oh and Just wait to you see the cake!!!
After a lovely ceremony we had the run of the grounds and by now perfect weather to capture some informal and formal portraits. One of my favourite shots has to be Kate trying to teach the girls to pout! It was soon time for some excellent speeches from Danielle's Grandfather Johnnie, Uncle Martin, the Groom Jonn and his best man and brother Robert. Robert even had a slideshow woven into his speech with embarrassing photos of the couple through the years! Loved it and brill idea Robert! I also really liked some of the things Danielle and Jonn provided for guests - including wrestling themed invitation Cards, a life size cardboard cut out of the both of them as wrestlers, flip flops for the dancing and also instant camera's for guests to take images and record best wishes with pictures in a lovely signing book. There was certainly plenty of things on the go for me to point my camera at and I really enjoyed spending the day with Danielle and Jonn and their lovely families who welcomed me warmly.
So as is my custom - Health, Wealth and Happiness to the new Mr and Mrs Karta - here's a sneak peek at your day - enjoy x
