Teresa & Paul's Wedding @ Burnhouse Manor Hotel

Just over a week ago I spent an absolutely fantastic day photographing Teresa and Paul's wedding. I first met Teresa and Paul in 2012 while photographing Brian and Lindsey's wedding, so I was delighted to be asked to share in their big day. As usual my day started with the girls as they were getting their hair and makeup done. Siobhann Dunn (The Pew Bridal Stylist) did an amazing job styling the girls hair which I hope you can see from the photos! I also need to mention one of the bridesmaids: Lorraine who created all the custom t-shirts, favours, cards, invites, Glasses and even Teresa's comfy customised shoes for dancing - what a talent!

Orla, Teresa's wee one was just great fun to photograph and she was clearly in her element being with all the big girls, although she did put a grumpy pose on for the camera! The ceremony was held at St Charles Church in Paisley which was a wonderful venue with great light and I loved how a beam of sunlight just illuminated Teresa as she reached Paul's side. Father Steven was very welcoming to both myself and Mark the videographer making us feel very welcome and at home.

I had visited Burnhouse Manor the evening before the wedding and the sun was splitting the sky, I was a little surprised the following day to arrive and see the change in the trees and significant autumn leaves covering the drive to the hotel - great colours for the photos though. Paul's groomsmen were a great bunch of lads, keeping the fun flowing as well as the beer. The image of Brian and Stuart running towards the beer bottles is just crying out for a caption competition and while I would like to say no beers were harmed during that photo, it would be a lie!

A great round of speeches revealed lots of amazing and funny anecdotes about all, but really showed just how much love there is between Teresa and Paul as well as their families. The dancing followed with a great Band (DeVille) and the Manor had a fantastic dance floor which after the first dance seen all of the wedding party circle Teresa and Paul for their second dance.

All in all it was a fantastic day. I can't believe how quickly it flew by!

Here's a wee mini-story of the day with congratulations and love to the new Mr & Mrs Harkins.
