It's quite fitting that my first blog post celebrates 2012 in style and captures the Olympic Torch arriving in Scotland or for our purposes, Rutherglen Main Street, Glasgow. I had a great opportunity and fantastic time capturing great images. A really good crowd gathered to watch the event and despite the poor Glasgow weather no spirits and or flame! were dampened. If you were unable to see the event first hand I hope the attached pictures give you a sense of the occasion. The police were there in force to keep things in check and I think they did a brill Job. While they were there in an official capacity it was great to see them interacting with the crowd, having a bit of fun and enjoying the moment! The torch carrier was understandably very proud and the preceding floats provided a real party atmosphere.
